The Giants are going to the Super Bowl!!!!! wooooooooooo

That was a craaazzzyyy game on Sunday, which happened to be my Mom’s birthday. The perseverant Eli Manning deserves the win for the constant battle and beating he withstood throughout the game. He also deserves it for his brother, Peyton, who had to have neck surgery, resulting in a God awful season for the Colts, and who doesn’t know whether or not he will be returning as a Colt next season (WHAT?!?). I’m experiencing a bit of deja vu with this Super Bowl. In 2007, I watched the Giants vs. Patriots Super Bowl at a frat next to my apartment with a small group of friends. I was a Junior undergrad in college then, and I wore my jersey on game day for weeks without washing it (I can’t remember if it was Osi’s or Eli’s).

I just returned to school to start my Master’s program, and the Giants are back in gear, preparing for Round 2 vs. the Patriots in Super Bowl XLVI. Last year, I had bought this really awesome Victoria’s Secret hoodie that has the big NY logo on the back around Christmas time, and then was super bummed out because I never got to wear it in support. On the contrary, this past weekend I wore it 3 days in a row, only to take it off after the game. I’m going to do the same thing Super Bowl weekend to keep the same energy going (no, I’m not going to wash it).

I really love my zip-up because it’s long and comfy and the design on the back is shiny and sparkly. I love, love, love it. Sometimes it’s good to switch it up from the jerseys that are always too long no matter what size you buy them in.

I tried to look up more of the same NFL merchandise online, but originally I couldn’t find it anywhere. I looked at the tag and it says 5th & Ocean LLC, which I’ve found has been bought by New Era. I don’t see any NFL merchandise at all, but I found a bunch of Yankees stuff! Yay! So what I’ve discovered is that the Victoria’s Secret Giants merchandise is only being sold in stores. For those of you who aren’t Giants fans, I hate you here is a link to their website that can tell you if your teams collection is available online.

My superstitious self has requested that my 2007 friends get back together for Super Bowl XLVI, but so far I’ve only got possibly 2 takers. Therefore, if the Giants lose I will be blaming the flakes, and they will be banished for all eternity defriended on Facebook.
