It has been a crazy morning. I woke up in a better mood than yesterday. Ugh I had such a bad day at work yesterday. Nothing was going right. Then I found out that they had loaded a ton of heavy boxes on top of all of my personal belongings that were in the car. My pretty gold bag that I got for my birthday was crushed, as were some makeup brushes, etc. Luckily my liquids didn’t explode and my ipod didn’t break so it could have been worse. Still, I was really upset about it… if someone had informed me I would have moved it. I went out last night to listen to some live music to put me back in a better mood. When I woke up I decided that no matter how hard I try to take care of my stuff, life is just going to happen. Might as well accept it and move on right? I decided to do a morning workout to boost my mood even more.

I found this awesome Work Every Muscle with These 6 Moves Workout on Women’s Health.

As I was doing it in my living room I had to substitute some of the equipment. I did 3 sets of:

My Substitutions:

Move 1 –  Squat: I did 15 Body-Weight Squats

Move 2 – Bend: I used 2 10 lb. dumbbells instead of a barbell and followed the same instructions doing 15 reps

Move 3 – Pushup:  same deal – 10 pushups

Move 4 – Pull: Again, I substituted 2 10 lb. dumbbells and followed the rest of the instructions doing 15 reps

Move 5 – Twist: For this exercise I used a 6 lb. medicine ball and imitated the same motion, raising the ball diagonally over my head and then twisting downwards – You can also use a dumbbell by holding both ends and performing a chopping motion – I did 10 reps on each side

Move 6 – Dumbbell Lunge:  same – 2 10 lb. dumbbells, 10 reps each side

 

Feel free to use weights that you are comfortable with. It’s better to adjust the workout so you perform it right to maximize the benefits and reduce the chance of injury. It’s also definitely better to substitute equipment you have than skip this awesome workout altogether.

 

 

So now, I am feeling good after this workout. Forget about the previous bad day… and then what do I find when I walk into work. A leak. A leak that is over my desk and chair only. Thankfully my 2 computers are ok, but seriously?… Talk about a black cloud following me around. I am literally getting rained on in here. Then I witnessed a spider sucking the life out of a fly.
