This is Grizzly… all snuggled up in my dirty laundry.

I love my ferrets, Duchess & Grizzly so so much & don’t know what I would do without them.

For those of you who don’t know, I saved Grizzly from a frat house after I received a phone call from my friend Ashley. She said they kept him in a small cage in a dark, gloomy, & gross garage. He was sad and malnourished when I got him.  The state of the garage was so disgusting that I almost threw up the second I stepped inside. He even had fleas, which I was completely unaware of and found out the hard way. Giving him a better home was one of the best decisions of my life.

My Duchess and him have been sweethearts ever since the day I rescued him. Ferrets are very social so they really should have a partner in crime. Oh and they will be little mischievous criminals. My Mom gifted me a Dior mascara the other day for Easter and I caught Grizzly running under my bed with it! Bad boy.

My ferrets make me laugh every single day, so if you are looking for a pet, ferrets are especially good for apartments because they don’t need to go outside. You can litter-box train them and everything. They will sleep and play together all day. Rescue a couple of ferrets if you are thinking about getting a small pet to keep you company, but don’t forget to do your research first!!

As I am researching deontological ethics, I came across the book Dostoevsky and Kant: Dialogues on Ethics, by Evgenia Cherkasova. The author asks,

For Valentine’s Day:

Seated Cupid: ‘L’Amour Menaçant’

‘L’Amour Menaçant’ is the title of this piece, meaning ‘Love threatens’. Here Cupid, the god of love is shown as a winged boy aged about six. With his left hand he is reaching for an arrow from his quiver, although the bow with which to shoot the lover’s dart is missing. The youngster makes a secretive gesture, as is if appealing to the viewer to keep quiet. That this knavish child was considered threatening is reflected in the inscription by Voltaire which appears on the socle: ‘Qui que tu sois, voicy ton Maitre – Il l’est, le fut, ou le doit être’ or: ‘Whoever you are, this is your master – He is, he was or he will be’. So beware of love.

Duchess + Grizzly = Forever

Love in a shoebox…

We hardly had to wait on line and waited even shorter for our food. Holy crap, you better know what you want before you get to the window. The first window took about 10 seconds flat to both order and receive our famous cheesesteaks, which were about $9 each (CASH ONLY). Second window has drinks and french fries. (CASH ONLY). It’s not like the self-checkout at the supermarket, where the machine says to wait until the baggage area is clear before another customer can use it…once they put out your cheesesteaks you better just throw your change in your pocket, grab your shit and go because you will just be in the way otherwise.

For the food coming out so fast, it was shocking to find it cold. The bread and outer areas of my cheesesteak were cold, but the middle bottom of my cheesesteak was hot with melty cheese. I have definitely had better cheesesteak in North Jersey that I am now craving just thinking about.

Btw, I think we witnessed a drug deal go down as we were sitting there eating. Black SUV pulls up and parks. Man comes up and knock on the back window. Hesitation. Man knocks again. Door opens. Man throws the tops of his eaten pepperoncinis at my feet and gets in. Black SUV drives away. So sketch!

So whose steaks are better? Pat’s or Geno’s? People on yelp are throwing Jim’s out there too…

“Guys on Girls” is two men, David Haglund and Daniel Engber, discussing the show. They say that the episode didn’t make much sense.

Engber asks, “Why are these people having sex, when they are so clearly mismatched—in style, in looks, in manners, in age, in everything? Why is he kissing her and begging her to stay over? Seriously, Dave—why?”

The gist of the entry as described by Engber is that “the episode felt like a finger poked in my guys-on-Girls eyeball, or a double-dog dare for me to ask, How can a girl like that get a guy like this? Am I small-minded if I’m stuck on how this fantasy is too much of a fantasy and remembering what Patrick Wilson’s real-life partner looks like?”

My answer to “how can a girl like that get a guy like this” is: she can’t. The characters are polar opposites in every way. Obviously, they weren’t a good fit. The point of the episode “One Man’s Trash” is simply “one man’s trash is another man’s treasure.” Hannah didn’t “get” Joshua in the end, but it doesn’t mean that someone else won’t find her valuable.
